Coronavirus Update from Neighborhood Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical

We want to assure all of our valued customers that we are keeping abreast of the ever-changing Covid-19 situation. Practices to limit the spread of the virus are happening rapidly, and with these changes can come worry and uncertainty. Neighborhood takes the safety of our clients, employees and families very seriously and are having ongoing conversations within our company on how we can better protect everyone while still providing the essential services we all need to keep our homes safe and comfortable.

Below are some of the steps we are taking to lessen the risk for all parties:

  • We are retraining and refreshing employees on policies we have in place such as personal hygiene, handwashing and other SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Employees experiencing any illness are not to report to work.
  • Employees are being encouraged to wash hands more frequently to help reduce the spread of germs and are being equipped with protective equipment.
  • With well-reported toilet paper shortages we also want to remind all of our customers that it is never ok to flush paper towels, napkins, facial tissues, baby wipes or other hygiene products down the toilet. These products DO NOT break down properly and WILL clog drain lines causing sewer blockage and back-ups. A sewer line that is backed-up is a far larger problem than a lack of toilet paper and will cause undue stress on service technician availability. Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper.
  • We will also be asking a few questions about the health of individuals we provide service for to ensure the safety of our employees and the public at large in an effort to limit viral spread. If you are ill or exhibiting any symptoms of illness, we kindly ask that you reschedule any non-emergent appointments.

Neighborhood will continue to monitor and gather information from local health officials as well as the CDC to take any steps necessary to keep our valued customers, employees and families safe. We recognize that health and safety are all our responsibilities. Please endeavor to wash your hands with soap and water frequently, cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or your elbow if you have to sneeze or cough, avoid unnecessary contact with large crowds or confined gatherings, and please stay home if you are sick. Together we can all limit the spread of Covid-19.

We encourage you to practice safety measures being outlined. More information can be found on the CDC’s website here:

Please be safe and stay tuned for further updates from Neighborhood.
